<h1>Why choose a Working Holiday?</h1>
Travel for longer. Spend less. Live like a local.
A Working Holiday is more than just a trip - it&rsquo;s your chance to experience another country from the inside, not just through a camera lens.
Instead of squeezing everything into two weeks, you&rsquo;ll have the freedom to spend months, or even years, living abroad.
Earn a local income to help fund your travels, discover places most tourists never see, and experience the everyday culture that makes each destination unique.
Whether you&rsquo;re working in a ski resort in Canada, a beach town in Australia or a countryside pub in the UK, you&rsquo;ll build confidence, independence and lifelong friendships while creating memories that simply aren&rsquo;t possible on a traditional holiday.
Along the way, you&rsquo;ll develop valuable life and work experience, immerse yourself in a new culture and return home with incredible stories, a stronger CV/resume and a fresh perspective on the world.
It&rsquo;s not just another holiday. It&rsquo;s one of the most rewarding adventures you&rsquo;ll ever have.

20% city. 30% coast &amp; beaches. 50% villages and countryside. 100% done for you.
&nbsp;
Like most first-time visitors, you'll probably find yourself asking the same question.
&nbsp;
How has Albania stayed off the radar for so long?
&nbsp;
Colourful cities, ancient traditions and some of Europe's most spectacular coastlines combine to create a destination that feels both familiar and completely undiscovered.
&nbsp;
You'll experience the warmth of Albanian hospitality, known locally as "Besa", a centuries-old code of honour that makes visitors feel welcome wherever they go.
&nbsp;
One day you'll be exploring castles where people still live within the ancient stone walls. The next you'll be cruising the sparkling waters of the Albanian Riviera or discovering hidden springs deep in the forest.
&nbsp;
And while Albania is quickly becoming one of Europe's hottest destinations, travelling here for the first time can feel overwhelming.
&nbsp;
Thankfully, your Global Guide has already done the hard work.
&nbsp;
All you have to do is enjoy the adventure with your new travel crew.
&nbsp;
You bring the yes. We'll handle the rest.

Visa requirements can vary depending on the passport you hold, but don&rsquo;t worry, we&rsquo;ve got you covered.
Our team will advise you on what you may need, and you&rsquo;ll also have access to our handy Travel Visa Tool in gWorld to check the latest requirements and, if needed, apply for the right visa before you travel.

Our Travel Concierge team is here to help you book flights that align with your tour itinerary, ensuring you arrive in the right place at the right time. You're welcome to book your own flights, but it's your responsibility to ensure they match the tour start and finish times. If you arrive late, depart early, or book flights that don't align with the itinerary, any additional costs to join or leave the group will be at your own expense.

Flights

Your Getaway includes base travel medical insurance for eligible travellers, provided through Global Travel Cover for the scheduled duration of your trip. You should review the <a href="https://www.envisageglobalinsurance.com/admin/plan/brochure/?id=1175">Certificate of Insurance</a> and policy documents before booking. You will also receive a copy of the insurance documents after booking and before the trip commences to review.
&nbsp;
This included cover is designed to provide a base level of travel medical protection for your Getaway, but it may not meet every traveller&rsquo;s personal needs. Cover is subject to the policy wording, Certificate of Insurance, limits, exclusions, eligibility criteria and claims process.
&nbsp;
Selected benefits may include eligible medical expenses, urgent care, hospital treatment, lost or stolen baggage, emergency local ambulance, emergency medical evacuation, and delayed &amp; missed flights, subject to the policy terms.
&nbsp;
The cover excludes pre-existing conditions and may not cover all activities, destinations, extensions, baggage, valuables, cancellation or travel outside your Getaway dates. For insurance-specific questions, or to make a claim, please contact Global Travel Cover.

Before you head off, we'll send you a pre-departure guide of what you need to prepare, as well as important details like your accommodation details and arrival instructions.
&nbsp;
If you have any questions at all before departure, you know where we are - our team is always here to help! We definitely recommend giving all your pre-departure info a quick look over so you can touch down ready to make the most of your adventure.

Albania is Europe's best-kept secret, but its rugged charm means you need to pack smartly. Since your itinerary includes wandering through ancient hilltop fortresses like Rozafa Castle and navigating the steep cobblestone paths of Berat and Gjirokast&euml;r, a solid pair of worn-in walking shoes is an absolute must. If you are visiting during the warm summer months to soak up the stunning Albanian Riviera in Ksamil and Vlor&euml;, the Mediterranean sun can get incredibly intense. Pack breathable clothing, a good hat, and plenty of sunscreen so you stay perfectly comfortable.
&nbsp;
You will experience the world-famous warmth of Albanian hospitality, known locally as Besa. This traditional code of honour means locals treat visitors like family, so a little friendliness goes a long way. When exploring historic mosques or churches in Tirana and the surrounding towns, make sure to show respect by keeping your shoulders and knees covered on those activity days. It is also standard to slip your shoes off if you are invited inside a local family home for a traditional homemade meal or raki tasting.
&nbsp;
Outside the trendy districts of Tirana, cash is absolutely king. While cards work perfectly for sunset drinks in the capital, smaller vendors at the Old Bazaar in Kruja and local seaside stalls run almost entirely on the Albanian Lek. Grab some local currency when you touch down at the airport. Stick strictly to bottled water rather than the tap to keep your stomach happy.
